i miss my old poems, before i learned

i miss my old poems, before i learned

A Poem by Everett Dulin

from veins
far below the dead earth
binary signals
make up my soul

an ancient yellowed modem
i relay, hissing any
inherent connection
in an abandoned data mine

old intranets
chatlogs and forums
apocalyptic messages
forgotten with burden

ips of no recollection
i hopelessly ping
for a disembodied soul
likewise neural activity
