dont we love teenage angst.

dont we love teenage angst.

A Poem by Everett Dulin
"

one day ill understand, or i wont. its beautiful in its own right.

"
do you hear them?
they call out to you,
the stars.
they know your name.

they whisper it,
veering so slightly.
towards love.
towards loss.

they told me,
long ago.
told me of my home,
of how i've grown.

i was supposed to be
magnificent.
in ways we'll never know.
ways i can never admit.

its okay though,
the stars you can never forgive.
they loved us that day,
they taught us how to live.
