Remember their names in this mess

Remember their names in this mess

A Poem by Everett Dulin
"

My heart goes out to all the victims in Pennsylvania. I'm sorry no one tells your story.

"
i hear their voices, the song of the dead
a lost place in Baghdad
an empty silence

there's no violence in politics
remember Iraq

there's no violence in politics
they don't take what you love

they'll never sing again
their voices lost in false suns
restless breezes carry gunpowder and blood

the streets are gone
tell that to Reagan
there isn't an epidemic, though we haven't moved on

there's no violence in politics
Martin wasn't shoved

there's no violence in politics
what haven't we done

so write to the paper
tell them it was us
there's no violence in politics
if we're the victims

To those that understand, "Semper Fi...". To those that don't, "Semper Fi...", as well.
