dio dell ' uomo

dio dell ' uomo

A Poem by Everett Dulin
"

I tried challenging myself with a conversation piece.

"
I SOLD MY SOUL
LOVE ME FOR MY BONES
(please?)

i see your voice
you have no gaze

OUT OF LOVE

holy one
born from gods spit

IT IS YOUR IMAGE
YOU SEEK TO DEFILE

a pathetic perversion of will
ripped from others sin

YOU THINK YOURSELF PURE

i think

I love this! I am no expert on writing conversation, but your piece spoke to me. Leaving some impressions below.

If look at the piece as a conversation between two voices(within one person) demarcated using capitalisation and otherwise, below is how it came across.

As I read, the words echo in my head in sort of dramatised meek and pleading and mighty and self-important tones.

In the end, the voice who sought acceptance in the first place regains some power and has the other questioning…

I went through many emotions and at the end was overcome with a small sense of victory.
