Life

Just some thoughts on life, not really a story.

"

After watching five 80-year-old women play wii- bowling I can honestly say that my life perspective has changed. The way they embraced life, and how despite having had many experiences still had room for more really showed me that life is truly worth living for. There comes a time in our life when we grow old, when wrinkles begin to take over our body, our hearing disintegrates, but our soul, our soul never gets old. Regardless of past events life still goes on. The troubles we face today will not be of concern to us when we are 80. How does one know what is important in life, if it will not matter to us when he grow old. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich, poor, black or white you still get old. You still die. Your corpse doesn’t look any prettier. The moments in life that make you happy, even if it is momentary happiness, those are what we live for. Those are what make it all worthwhile. The pain, the suffering, it can all be subdued when you see a child taking its first steps, when a child smiles and giggles with happiness, when the groom has a look of pure happiness at the altar. These moments, so rare, yet so precious. They make life.
