SeparationA Poem by filizakkayaA letter to my dear one On hopes that someday we will
reunite again,
Over the landscape Past the hills and under the blazing
sun Where our tree used to be Remember how we would sit under it
and count the stars at night? Nothing lives there anymore Nothing but shadows. The cries of humans are lost Their voices, their faces Now all a distant memory Your face is lost too. The falcon flies circling looking
for prey The desert goes on for miles It is unforgiving There is no sign of life
It is all blown away How can we rebuild what is lost?
At times of solitude and loneliness, I remember the song you would sing me About the mockingbird, singing for
joy
- Les
oiseaux ne chantent ici Their feathers don’t circle down on
a child’s lap Their songs don’t bring smiles on
people’s faces Their smiles are lost As are the ones who will never make
it back home. © 2012 filizakkayaReviews

All I know is my life has just started (neglect the fact that it's been over 2 decad.. more..Writing
