Like a Rose

Like a Rose

A Poem by Filibustero Ibarra
"

Another poem I wrote in the past for a person I used to like. I have always wondered why love has been the theme of most of my poems and I myself am a "love poet". Hmmm..

"

O lovely, sing to me the songs of spring

Morning is young and laughing

Can you not see, my dearest?

Only heaven can bring about

Beauty such as yours no doubt

Shy and timid yet beautiful all around

Pure like a young dove

A true creation from above!

Like a rose leaning

Against the bosom of spring

Only to a goddess compare

If only time would allow

And heaven bow

A lifetime with you

But whatever fate is to be laid

Or destiny to be paid

I will still love you

Like the endless sky

My countless hopes will never die

Hopes that you will love me back

This is really sweet. And I think how you described the girl you liked was really flattering. It really shows that this one's heartfelt. Again, you did a pretty good job. Thanks for sharing. :)
