November Showers

November Showers

A Poem by Fighter/Lover

Heavy, angry clouds
Cover the darkening sky
Little splashes of pink and purple scattered

Hear the small birds fleeing from the weather
The dogs barking in the distance
The creaking of the screen door

Smells of rain and wet wood
Bonfire smoke down the road
Clean, fresh air swaying the trees

Cold breeze blowing my hair
Chill on my face
Quiet raindrops trickling down the house

The street lights come on
The rain subsides
The smells blend into those of the night

Good job :) I miss Alabama so much! I miss the way it smells, And the sky... *sigh* Oh well, for the moment, this is enough.
