Too close

Too close

A Poem by Fighter/Lover

The fallen leaves
The withered plants
The chilly air
Watch the leaves dance
My broken heart
His crooked smile
We're farther apart
Mile after mile
I hate to be
Without him now
Gotten too close
Now I can't live without
If I get too close
I might get hurt
And people say
"What's the worst that could happen if you flirt?"
Playing it safe
Easier said than done
