Those Words

She waits on him to say those words

Those three little words

Those words that give you butterflies

The ones that send chills up your spine

The words that made her smile

Before he took them back

He gets her hopes up every time

Starts to say it then changes his mind

Those words are tearing her apart

They burn inside her

Wanting to be heard

But he wont have it

Says she doesn't mean them

He makes her cry

Telling her what she doesn't mean

She loves him

But things are getting hard to take

She resorts to hurting herself

Thinks its the only way out

To not feel that constant pain

Those words are joy

But those words are also pain

Those words that cause so much heartache

Are as simple as 1,2,3

But hold a lot of meaning

Those words; I love you

Cause the pain I hate to see
