What If?

What If?

A Poem by Fighter/Lover

What if light didn't shine through the darkness?
Didn't cancel out the cold, endless black.
What if there was no light to begin with?
No life, no growth, no you.
What if darkness was all there was?
Only thing keeping you sane, is the hope of light.
What if nothing made sense anymore?
Everything you thought you knew turned out to be wrong.
What if life was never the same again?
Ever changing, never staying, always different.
What if light didn't shine through the darkness?
No life, no growth, no pain.
All the possibilities of life without light.
Though life without light, is no life at all.
No matter you're efforts, no light could be found.
What if light couldn't cut through the lack of life?
"What if?" An endless question,
with endless answers.
What if?
