Woven

Woven

A Poem by Catherine

You chocked on dust while I bled out pools.

I called your name three times but I got two words

With one being ‘leave’, and the other ‘stay’.

Nails are chewed and daughters are rotten.

Where is the mist when I can’t see?

And why do you hover? Casting shadows?

I have begged you to unlatch but you persist.

You are woven so tight.

Let go.

Go.

The birds sing their songs on summer mornings singing,

“Where has she gone-

You know where she has gone,

Where has she gone-

You know where she has gone”

And I know where you have gone.

You bite on my bones,

Inside me-

Within me.

I bite on my lip-

Bleeding.

thank you so much
A poem of pain and hurt that can not be released or let go. Echoes of sweet suffering fill its lines. Bitter sweet are memories. A haunting poem
