Anchored in Stillness

Anchored in Stillness

A Poem by Catherine

You ache endlessly to feel something,

Hunger seeps from your skin and puddles below your feet, flooding the city of your very heart.

Captains on ships sail amongst your tender yearning-

Fearing the shadows that stir beneath it.

However, never have your hands lifted your own weight from the tide.

I have watched you struggle, again and again with the same result:

Tears flood,

Ships sail,

And you stand still.

When will you free their sails to roam?

When will you seek for the sky and draw its breath?

So beautiful and emotional ride in the poetry dear Catherine.
"Tears flood,
Ships sail,
And you stand still.
When will you free their sails to roam?"
I adored the above lines. Somethings, we shall never understand. I liked the question. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry. I did enjoy.
