Anchored in StillnessA Poem by CatherineYou ache endlessly to feel something, Hunger seeps from your skin and puddles below your feet, flooding the city of your very heart. Captains on ships sail amongst your tender yearning- Fearing the shadows that stir beneath it. However, never have your hands lifted your own weight from the tide. I have watched you struggle, again and again with the same result: Tears flood, Ships sail, And you stand still. When will you free their sails to roam? When will you seek for the sky and draw its breath? © 2024 CatherineReviews
