Definitions: The Tattler

Definitions: The Tattler

A Poem by fiery-san
"

As the words spill... the value of truth in society shifts.

"

Are you truly doing the wrong thing?

There is a thin line that divides.

You’re doing the right thing yet you are the one at the wrong.

They tell you it’s bad.

Yet you are merely speaking the truth.

They tell you to deal with it yourself before speaking to those above.

Yet in truth it does nothing.

You are ignored.

You were wronged.

You decided to speak out and take a stand.

They label you.

They mock you.

You are called a coward

Someone who relies in the power of others not yourself.

It is an irony.

You speak the truth

Only to be condemned because the truth does nothing for them.

Such is a fate of a tattler.
