Daring to DreamA Poem by fiery-sanIs there such a thing in this place... dreamingThe Mysterious whimsy
of the damned lurking in the shadows brightly upon the wasted
dunes of red earth and ash One dares to dream Dancing and
singing, women moving so spritely The vision shimmers
so defiantly A fading memory
full of thorns and a bloodied sash A lone figure lies
waiting in the stream Memories of roses
and their scent come so invitingly That one dares to
leave reality so temptingly A place of pain
full of whiplash A silent figure,
trapped within sorrow's cold beam This is hell, where
beauty is far too unsightly To destroy and burn
it would be rightly Fallen and
corrupted, nothing but a tattered face A place where no
morals clash For not one figure
lived enough to withstand Hell's dark gleam Hell is cold and
weary, not a spirit dared to shine brightly Cries and groans
are their melodies nightly Far too dark and
corrupted is this place Where one is
blinded by the dune's red earth and ash Where one has
nothing but nightmares to dream © 2012 fiery-sanAuthor's Note
