In the tranquil lull of the night,
Storm a myriad ponderings of the mind.
That ineluctable reflection then does unwind,
Recursively manifesting mislay of 'the one', to light.
The heart in yearning, takes to flight,
The soul all-knowing, yens behind,
The body engulfed in longing, thus entwined,
The self, summoning in vain, a defunct might.



The mind envisages a moment's life of togetherness,
The lips part in a fulfilled smile hence.
The brain hard hit by reality, shakes out of pretense,
The whole, doomed to saturnine void, on return to sense.
The spirit screams its redemption, for in all it's worthiness,
Thou that never were mine, I remain thine, thence...
