Green-Eyed

Green-Eyed

A Poem by The Fiddley Scrawler - A Blog by Prema Tata
"

Of big inflated egos and self-declared competition... Scrawled On: Friday, 26th April 2013

"
Meditate not on the other's superiority,
Pride but in your own.
Weep not on the other's capability,
Rejoice but in your own.

What does thou wish to reap,
With needless digs you construe?
Serves only to push yourself into a mire deep,
Fostered by an enflared ego within you.

The question of competition does never arise,
If in thine conscience, you are one's own monarch true.
Never would I recognise nor be amongst your rat race,
For, you are not me and I am not you.
