Why is it that you can tell the difference between a male novelist and a female one? Why is it so obvious? I would LIKE to blame men for this obvious stand out but I can't. Men aren't the reason that it's painfully clear that women writers and male writers are completely different. Men, as I've read, have an easier time to sticking with plot and developing a story, but females....grrrrr! Why is it that when a girl writes a novel they make their female protagonist soo....unloved? Vulnerable. Shaky. Desperate. Too emotionally attached. They go insane and the actions they do make me twitch and squirm as I read a book.
Stephanie Meyer. Why? Why do you make Bella such a miserable character? Why does she need to be saved all the time? Why does she have to be soooooooooo fragile and yet 'powerful'. Your not powerful if your fragile. Your not strong if you depend on a man to pull you up and take care of you. I'm not a feminist but reading female authors write make me want to be one.
Joyce Carol Oates. My professor loves this writer. And I love her plots but she makes me want to go find out where she lives, hunt her down so I can slap her across the face and go. "No girl in their right mind goes THAT F*****G INSANE FOR A BOY!" Brilliantly written but her female characters? In her novella Beasts, a girl shaves her had bald for a married man. Another STARVES herself. And another basically tries to committ suicide? The cherry to this disturbing tale is when he gets them he takes pictures of them naked and sells it to porn magazines, and the worst part the girls are more than willing to do so that they are happy that they are 'loved' that much. THey are 'cared for'.
Are we really that pathetic? Do we really fall that deep in love that we become animals to prove our love? No wonder men call us psychotic b*****s if that's the case. I painfully read these sorts of novels and I ask myself this. Women have worked SO HARD to be equal, so why the hell would our own kind slander ourselves like this? Make us seem like deranged little turds desperate for attention that we will go to any means to getting them.
Yes Bella I'm talking about you and your whole New Moon novel. Wasn't it obvious why Edward had to leave? I thought so, but nooooooooo you were nothing without him nothing. It's like you can't even be a human being without a man.
You don't see men act like this! NO! NEVER! And I'm only nineteen but I've never seen a girl this deranged for love, have you?
