Wildecat's Toast

Does no justice, I know and I can't write poems but here it goes.

 

 

I cannot write a poem,

That's a fact I do not hide.

I'm more into fiction things,

But I'll take you for this ride.

 

Poems are my weakness.

So why do I write, you ask.

I do it for a friend you see,

Who wears a wildecat mask.

 

This writer is a friend of mine.

one of my very first I must boast.

So grab a glass with gingerale,

This is Wildecat's special toast!

 

Wildecat is friends to many,

We are lucky there is no doubt.

He's a man gifted with words,

Full of meaning and a lot of clout.

 

Words spring out of his fingertips,

As he moves people every day.

He can make you laugh, make you cry.

He does it all in his very special way.

 

This man is from up above you know,

I may be a kid but there's truth in what I say.

God sent him down with a golden pen,

Though he denies this in his neaner neaner way.

 

He was a U.S Soldier,

Keeping enemies at bay.

Now he's a poem master,

A funny guru I must say.

 

I cannot write a poem,

But I'll continue with this post.

Masked avenger, this is for you,

Wildecat, your very special toast!

You actually think that you're not a writer? Come on now, you just wrote this piece and you've proven, not just to us, but to yourself that you can write the poetry...

I like this poem. It was well written. I think it does him justice to some degree. He is a great guy so it is hard to put words into a poem about him. I think you did a great job though. I think you have more of a poet in you than you know.
