Writer's Block

I'm not that great at poetry and I wrote this in an attempt to see if I could write a poem. So it's nothing special but thought I'd post it here

You choke and you bind me
Restrict and confind me
No words can compare
The hate that I share

 

Commas here commas there
it's all just a glare
Comparisons are a must
I'm just ready to bust

 

My mind is a-racing
My heart is a-pacing
My fingers are aching
Oh, nothing is baking

 

It's short and not Long
I got it all wrong
You force it all out
Your making me pout

 

If I have to be frank,
My mind is just blank.
There's a door and a lock
Oh god, writer's block.

 

You laugh and you gawk
I stare at the clock
Not much time left to spend
but your not ready to bend

 

My paper is due
I'm ready to spew
Time ticks and you mock
Damn you Writer's block.

Hate to say this, but there's no such thing as a "Writer's Block" Yes, we do get that every now and then, but we just need to clear out our mind and do something else such as reading books, watching TV, walk around the park, drive around the main roads, and so on. Until the ideas, the inspirations, things like that, will hit us, then we can go back to writing...

Another advice for you and the other writers; Don't vent the anger, just stay cool and have patience, then the moment will come to you eventually...

On the other hand, it's a well written piece that you've released your anger onto, so it's still good tho...

I really did enjoy this. Regardless of the fact that some believe there is no such thing as a writer's block, I happen to have experienced very real similarities before, so ... Yes, Virginia, there is a Writer's Block! haha... or at least something close, anyway.
The poem? Too cute for words! lol I loved it.

Well with poems (which i do a lot of) you dont have to rhyme them. All it has to do is make sense and go along with the title. but over all 3/5

I'm not going to get all preachy. I've had writers block. Way to turn you weaknesses into advantages by taking one of the most annoying aspects of writing and then writing about it.

I hate when this happens to me (as it frequently does), it's so frustrating!!!

We all are faced with writers block from time to time. Whenever I have that problem I just take a laxative and that clears out all of the crap and I continue. Just kiddng. Liked your poem.
