IslandsA Poem by fictionletsusfly
This is where I lose it.
Drowning in the ocean. Only you and I could know it, pounded by the waves. Find it in your pocket. I wrote it on a napkin. I told you that I loved you and got nothing in return. It's a sorrow, darlin', that we're living on islands like castaways. Been a year and I'm about to suffocate from waiting on ya. You're still burning brighter underneath the lighthouse. I'm hollow and I'm tired. I love you all the same.
