Love Is Lost, You Feel So Lonely You Could Die - Part 2.A Chapter by FedeThere was no phone call. It was a big lie. What would you do if the girl you believe different was a normal person? He believed that being normal was the worst thing anyone could achieve. He sought for authenticity. He wanted to be genuine, to be one of a kind. He had every Bowie record. He knew he was authentic. He changed many times but still remained the same. He liked that and believed he could do something similar with his life. It was hard, being different, being not normal. The next day, the phone rang many times. Missed calls. Texts. Mary tried hard to reach him. She couldn’t. It was mean from him not to answer her. Many times before he suffered that. Now, it was his time, emptiness was his answer. The void of emptiness filled him. He didn’t feel like talking to her. Or seeing her. Or knowing about her. She died to him at the exact moment she started talking. - Meanwhile, Mary tried to talk to him. She asked for his address to someone he spent much of his time. He knew who she was. Syd spoke of her whenever he had the chance. His friend knew her well. He offered to drive her to his flat. Syd gave him a set of keys in case he needed them. He gave them to Mary and told her that he would return in an hour. "Don’t move the furniture, don’t touch anything. He will know. He’s obsessed organizing everything with the particular order he believes it suits better", he told her. She slid the key, turned twice and opened the door. She checked the flat. It seemed cozy and warm. There was a beautiful mahogany table with many books, papers and pens. Coffee stains, two half-drunk wine glasses and a tumbler with an Aberlour cask next to it. The bottle was empty and so was the tumbler. Under the yellow-green cask, there was a paper that said, “I’m gone”. © 2014 Fede |
