Heart Beats

Heart Beats

A Poem by Frank G. Myers Jr
"

The romantic side of a sheltered and shy poet!!

"

In the weakest of your moments,

Will you take my offer of being your crutch?

When the day has drug out and the night is gruesomely long,

Are you comfortable laying your head on my shoulder as I hold you close?

If you find that all is coming down on top of you,

Can I be there t odig you out?

In a time when your full of hurt and need to vent,

May I lend an ear and listen to whatever you want to talk about?

As a tear of pain, frustration, or possibly sadness rolls down you cheek,

Is it acceptable for me to wipe it away and tell you everything will be okay?

No matter what circumstance you may find yourself in,

Know that I will not need permission to show I care!!
