Our time

Our time

A Poem by Fey Frost

When the sun rises high

And tears through the sky

Time has come to say goodbye

But is rewarded with a sigh

We tell our selves it’s a lie

Just because we are yet to fly

To see the world by ourselves

Before we are removed from the shelves

It’s our only hope before we go

Hope that we don’t make another foe

We sit back and wonder

Just before we hear the thunder

Like stillness before a storm

Waiting to take another form

Our time is finally here

Let’s welcome it with a cheer

Let’s say goodbye to this world

As we head out through the cold
