Old friend

Old friend

A Poem by Fey Frost

*I thought I had said hello
Maybe you heard it goodbye
Otherwise why leave me and go
You know I love you, you knew I'd cry*
*Where did you go? Are you still there?
Are we playing a game? Tell me you're okay
Why did you fade? it's not fair
What can I do? Anything I'll obey
To bring you back here with me*

*You left me unguided in the cold
With the darkness surrounding me
I couldn't see a thing, I'm getting old
Come back to me my dear friend
You've been gone for a while now
Come to me I'm near my end
Do you still remember our vow?
To stay side by side until it's done
But you left that day, you broke the promise
Can we at least chase each other in a run?
For one last time before I'm gone*
