I saw

I saw

A Poem by Fey Frost

I have never known smiles, nor have I ever felt tears But I have been touched by the sun; I have felt cheer happiness, I was draped with darkness; I have been scalded by my fears But the greatest of all emotions I have seen is kindness
I have observed the power of a single good deed I have seen love grow and friendships end Nations rise, only to be struck down by greed I have heard laughter echoing between new found friends
I used to tread those streets at dusk, eyes wide Staring at those who pass by, hidden from sight I deduced our greatest fault was our colossal pride Yet one simple act throws smiles into the night Filling the air with hope and warmth untold A warmth capable of freeing us from all the cold

The I gives it a pounding effect quasi tribal but then the descriptions or soul life picture if you prefer warms the poem and then your desires which they all feel to me surrounded by goodness and that's how it left me inspired by the hope.

Oh sweet melancholy

Thankyou so much Fey Frost
