Self Centered

Self Centered

A Poem by R.F Gooding

I find myself enclosed in nothing but darkness.

A figure of a female appears, she's amongst the largest.

Hate fills my blood and sorrow fills my heart.

Because I remember the last morning of a feeling that onced sparked.

I am self centered and bound to forever walk alone.

No where to go, no place to call home.

I am alone in this ocean of dispair.

And I am gasping for that last breath of air.

I am unlucky because I'm alone.

No place to go, no place to call home.

When the wind wind blows I have no choice but to follow.

I'm in the darkness and I have been swallowed.

I like the poem. The internal struggle is powerful. All of us struggle with good and bad thoughts. Sometime darkness is a safe place. Time to regain strength and attempt to tried again. No weakness in the excellent poetry.

Funny you say this. I was planning on making it a song I just haven't found the right artist.
