The reality of Fantasy

Flash fiction. A story that was supposed to be written 60 words or less. The focus is to eliminate the unnecessary to illustrate a story. About hopes and dreams.

Sketching furiously, she captured the essence of a ballerina. Fluttering fabric, pointed petal shaped feet, motion whipping on the paper. Pale arms in perfect posture, face alight, body curved in a dreamlike sway.

 “I’ve always wanted to do ballet.”

He smiled wittedly, “It seems you already can.”

She closed her eyes, toes pointed, energy flowing, hopping, a beautiful dancing flower.

A very good desriptive work and an excellent piece of flash fiction, although primarily a poet myself, I though this was a great example of this genre.
