Two

Two

A Poem by Ferras K

we're set in our ways
these old heads
can't see the rising tide

so

enforced this calm
with strong wills
stoking our differences

four callow hands
won't plead guilty
weekends of silence

not given to change
nor forgiveness
haunting each other's sleep

till

two vengeful hearts
pick on each fault
weekends of sorrow

two broken hearts
won't admit need
weekends so hollow

come
enter this absurd
world
love has given
birth
to separation

two careless hearts
bleed silence
weekends of sorrow

four callow hands
won't plead guilty
weekends no more
