it stood there
just beyond the curve of intuition
just beyond the grasp of stored knowledge
silent
teasing
playful but quiet
like a shy little child
with no one to nudge it forward
no one to hold its hand
and guide it through that little step
into revelation
so it stood there
at the back of my mind
and i missed my chance
