The Best Laid Plans

The Best Laid Plans

A Poem by Ferras K

i went to bed the other day
thinking
i'm waking
early the next day
it was afternoon
the next day
when i woke up and i thought,
''too soon''
as i fought
my sleepy head
one other time
i had
this big pile of clothes
dirty, grimly grimy
so i soaked them clothes
in one big bucket
"for an hour," i said
"or two," i added in haste
that was two days ago
the drowned apparels stare at me
accusing me
of a heartless soul
for leaving them in the water, cold
in this winter cold
i promised i'll wash them
first thing in the morning
so i plan my night
with that maxim
''early to bed and early to rise...''
so now i know
i'll be ready for bed
when the dawn breaks
through my bedroom window

Hahaha! I know what you're talking about...I'm just the same!
I would love to read what you'd write about your folks' opinion on this...that is generally the best part! :-p
You are awesome!

PS- if you don't read Garfield, try it...he's the best of our lot! (give Calvin n Hobbes a try too)
