Forever, These DaysA Poem by Ferras K
dust-covered, your leaves have drooped
burdened with dirt that seems to hang around forever, these days dew drops shy away and maybe for the best always thirsty, these dry dusty grains you were beautiful with leaves numbered like the stars but where is your colour, green? 'cause brown is all you wear
forever, these days i can't wait no more for the rains to wash you clean and paint you green again a revealing sight that sooths my sore eyes but them rains keep you waiting forever, these days as if the oceans had dried your sisters have now gone wilting as they waited while the sun drank their sweat so cast your roots deep my giant green friend 'cause your sisters have all gone, like my brothers and their axes, into the dust it's just the two of us now alone forever, these days and the rain keeps us waiting as if the oceans have dried © 2012 Ferras KFeatured Review
