We Were Shooting Stars, Fallin'

We Were Shooting Stars, Fallin'

A Poem by Ferras K

You lied
It's always dark in here
The smell clear, of despair
Of loneliness, and fear
Wish you'd known
Before you moved in
You should have seen
The signs they were showin'

You died
A long time ago, my dear
When hope gave into despair
You drowned in your tears
I saw you crash down
I didn't know you'd given in
I didn't know where you'd been
I marvelled at the shooting star so bright, wishin'

I lied
I was always dark too, in there
I smell of despair
I am lonely, I live in fear
Wish I'd known
The signs we were showin'
I should have seen
Maybe we'd still be livin'

I died
A long time ago, my dear
When hope gave into despair
I drowned in my tears
I was on my way down
That's when I saw you fallin'
We could have been somethin'
Instead, we were shooting stars, fallin'

They said
The night burst into light that night
Two shooting stars falling
Burning so bright
They said
It was the most amazing of sights
Two shooting stars falling
Burning so bright

. exquisite writing ... i dunno what to say about the thought ... i think i believe in love too much ... that it will find its way to its hosts ... despite the odds ...
