GenocideA Poem by Ferras Kmosquitoes irritate the heavens out of me
i woke up
still longing sleep i rolled up my mosquito net then i ventured into the unused room pushed open the window the morning creeped in that's when the bloodsuckers took flight a swarm of mosquitoes i cut off the sunlight their escape route i left the room and returned with a chemical weapon of mass destruction i plugged it in i turned it on the indicator shone yellow maximum strength i left the room closing the door i heard no cries i guess they went on the quiet an hour passed i thought it enough i returned to that room never used all was quiet it was dark no signs of resistance i let the light in the scene of a crime mosquitoes on the ground many dead many still unwilling i crushed them under my big feet mission complete i reached for the broom and swept the evidence away of the ugly sight a genocide © 2012 Ferras K |
