fingertips

fingertips

A Poem by Esther
"

3/14/19

"
everything is so much smaller now
than when i was young
places i lived, spent time in
magical clubhouses and creeks in the woods
they were huge to me
when in reality my entire world
everything i was surrounded by
was so incredibly small
unimportant in the grand scheme of things
seeing those old places again, revisiting faded memories
makes you realize exactly how much time has passed
and how the magic has seamlessly slipped
from your fingertips

Poetical thoughts to provoke the mind - though everything is relevant. Perhaps we could all do well to remember our tiny place in the Universe. We’re not the center of the world. We’re just billion-year-old stardust, orbiting a burning ball of gas in the middle of empty space, with no beginning, and no end. and here we are - just a fingertip away from each other! Loved it ... :-)
