Holding On, But Letting Go

Holding On, But Letting Go

A Poem by Fenix Flight
"

To Jeremy

"

That moment when you are sitting in your brothers room
Sitting on his bed and crying your heart out
Because you miss him so freaking much
and you know you're about to lose him.

He's slipping through your fingers
and you don't know how to stop it.

When all you want to do is just hold on to him
just a little more tightly
not wanting to let him go

But you know you have to let him go
or risk losing him forever

But you just want to cling to him
To keep him close to you
But he's clawing at your fingers
slipping through them like water

How do you let him go
but still hold on to him?

Author's Note

Fenix Flight
This is a poem to my younger brother Jeremy who is moving out of the house because of issues in the house and it breaks my heart because I know that once he moves he wont be back to visit for a very long time. :'(
