Life Ripped ApartA Poem by ZachA poem about finding yourself from within the depths of darkness. If I could find myself
in the whirlwind that holds me in its eye, Perhaps I would find I’m
not myself these days, Who could know the
truths of a soul torn apart? Rolling away always as
an avalanche on a collision course, Crashing like waves
evermore upon the shore of the sands of time, Touching and tasting,
but never knowing an everlasting verity, Combing the banks with a
surge of resourcefulness that might find me alone, Willing myself to rise
so known out of the depths of everything that is black, Tracing the crevices
born to the earth to define a life from conception, Take the paths etched in
the ash of burnt and scorched remains, There will I find bits
of myself ripped from the core and strewn across rock? To rebuild a body and
harvest the seeds of innocence in the sediment of my soul, There might I find
myself among the living as one who is filled of the void. © 2013 ZachReviews
