can't sing loud enough

can't sing loud enough

can't hear my voice because of the wind
hair streaming out behind me as i sing
...madly ...crazily
don't need to hear
i know the words i wrote
like the feel of them rolling
up and down my throat
bellowing
madly...crazily
can't sing loud enough for my baby

on my way to see the face that cured me
i was dying
somehow she heard me
and i never even made a sound
even tried to shoot her down
i was angry, locked in rage
stone walls i built became my cage
she freed me, put my soul in place
gave me a home, instilled within me grace
she calmed me

her presence is a gift
she lifts me from the woe i wore
hammered out of molten lead
to balm a head full of war and dying
and even now while riding
my soul is flying and so i sing
madly...crazily
can't sing loud enough for the one that saved me
can't sing loud enough for my baby
