Boom Boom Boom Baby

boom boom boom baby
your hard Hamilton accentjabs like an ice pick
into ear drums over-tenderized from the pounding beat

i composed last night, juked by the joint

i wasted yet another pay check on

stumbling into the kitchen

early morning assaults my eyes and

day throws up in my face, it stings like acid

squinting i watch you pacing around in your underwear

cell phone attached to head, mouth flapping

gasping like trout out of water

(in those droopy pink nylon panties honey and frayed Bargain Shop bra,
your role in last night’s drama is a hard one to picture)

knuckles swollen into Pillsbury Doughboy hands i'm barely able to grip

this can of beer promising me hair of the dog

i chug it down hoping it’s a hairy breed ...the cold feels good
so i light up a smoke and painfully dial a cab

i almost feel sorry for that poor sucker at the Grub Pub

who abused my fists last night,  but more importantly,

an epiphany lit up with that last cigarette:

sometimes winner vs. loser is a moot point

boom boom boom baby bye bye

I so love this piece of art! Outstanding greatly descriptive and imagery that's off the hook! I enjoyed this very much :)

Absolutely love this, from the picture, to the inspiration to the last word! And I love the end coming from a competitive kickboxer! :)
