The Reckoning

The Reckoning

A Poem by felioness
"

Beware who you let in....

"

I dreamt of him on moonlit nights
when eastern winds were howling
I ached for him while stars shone bright
and wept for him each morning

I longed for his sweet cold embrace
for the pearly paleness of his skin
consequence be damned  I said
(unconcerned about tomorrow)

so when he asked, I let him in
now I weep in endless sorrow

In many ways, this is one of those poems someone reads and feels the room drop in temp to about 6 degree's. To send a chill down the spine from one read can only make me think of one band with the same effect. NightWish, the balance of Metal and Sorrowful Music. The Poem as the same effect. Nice Job!
