Love Don't Come Easy

Love Don't Come Easy

A Poem by felioness
"

...love and the many emotions it evokes.

"

listen... can you hear it?

... the worm turning

the worm is worming

the worm  doing

what worms are meant to do

my brain is swelling

my brain is telling

telling my body what love can do

my body is a hungry bird

needing to be fed

 instead...

my brain feels infected

... disconnected

swollen and engorged

like a mid-month march moon

... because of you

can you hear it?

the loud knock knocking

of my raven cries

... the denial?

my carnal demands rise like

the final sunset on the eve of destruction

blood thirsty and crimson  ...  and hope?

hope is the dessicated fallout sputtered on the lips of a scorning fool

watch it drip

... congealing... pooling

just let it go ... let it grow

let time take care of the troubled mind

... every wicked plan

every grain of sand

sifting through the narrowed neck of tempered glass

... it will pass

because in time all things do

look hard enough and you will always find

the fuse ... the burning end

don't let fear  confuse what you cannot comprehend

... trust the wormhole

it will  always lead you to the truth

 you will see

that in time the worm will turn

and consume the bird
