when i was twelve

when i was twelve

A Poem by felioness
"

a memory

"

i was twelve when i first saw her:

head thrown back
long stringy blonde hair
she wore a short sleeveless shift
and her feet were bare

three things struck me as i watched her stride
her back was straight
her step stretched wide and

a tattoo graced her arm's upper left side

that was back in in '67
by now that crazy ol chick's in biker heaven
but through the years her image stayed in my mind
a precursor to our changing times

A beautiful, fierce glimpse back to a time of innocence... of awakenings... of moments that moved our world a bit further down the road to freedom.

I understand...You are welcome...:)..................
I really dig this. The lines "That was back in '67/by now that crazy ol' chick's in biker heaven," really struck me. Makes me think of some kind of old school rock n' roll song.
