My Red Harlem

My Red Harlem

A Poem by felioness
"

Beat poetry/spoken word

"

red harlem
is
my place
my space
my squat

where wars are fought
where lives are taken
where hammered hearts are hard and
hope forsakened

red harlem
is
my "neck of the wood"
my neighbourhood
my" home sweet home "
a place where angry spirits roam

where troubled thoughts and idle hands
are left to rot in
"gangsta lands"

red harlem
is
my "stomping ground"
my "hang around"
my stable

where i put my feet up on the table
where survivial depends on whether you can understand
the difference between
"bro" and "man"

It has roots b.a.b.y. !!!

I loved it, almost can hear your voice.

And ofcourse I love Harlem, as it has my culture, and city here... "Haarlem"
Once we gave it to USA.
