Tea for two?A Poem by feline_fairythe first cup of the day is always the best. waking up with a blinding headache, a nose so full I can't breath, and a face as red as a beetroot, my thoughts turn to one thing - the miracle cure for everything. A cup of tea.Did I mention I make the best tea in the world. One day maybe I'll make you one. So you can taste the delight of all that is mine, As we sip it in the morning sun.
But will that day ever come? Your miles away and out of reach. I want you to sample my favourite things, a flask of tea on a cold morning beach.
From China, India or Ceylon, Brewed in a cup with little hearts on. I painted that mug soley for you, those little hearts and mine you have won.
Tea for two? not right now I'm drinking by myself. Surrounded by people I know and I love But one cup is left on the shelf.
My head is pounding, my voice quite horse But you're not here to care for me. So instead I'll cure all my ailments With a cup of milky tea.
