Give me a reason to forgive

Give me a reason to forgive

A Poem by RingLeader Anonymous
"

Some friends are worth forgetting, I hope you aren't one of them

"

I love you but your words hurt

how can you not understand the sting of your verbal blade,

cuts me like the wounds I inflict on myself.

I know you care, thats not the problem

our conflict is you're so caught up in your own love affair

you don't see me cut and bleeding

on the cold foundations of our “friendship”

I know you're lonely

but does my attention mean nothing to you?

Does my time and effort trying to be here for you mean nothing?

We share a laugh, we cry our pain away

we do all this together to feel better

and yet you call me a wanderer and someone who abandons

I left for my own purposes

not to leave you alone

you have no right to say otherwise

who gives you the right to come down on others

when you can't even fix the suffering in your own life

we hear the words we want, but ignore the ones that stir something inside

we ignore those who make us feel conflicted

so why ignore me when you know there is some truth to my words?

Would you really ignore the one you called friend?
