A Smile For The WorldA Poem by Sheila MA moment of self-pity.Going through My day to day, I sit and wonder Why it's all the same.
People take and take And they never give. Is it too much to ask In this world that I live?
My soul feels depleted, Yet no one cares. If it's not about them, So what...no one dares....
Dares to attempt To ask what I need. What do I want? What do I see?
I see selfishness, Disrespect and sadness. Why do we allow ourselves To live in such madness?
So, I'll do as I've done Since I was born, I'll cheer myself up, And share a smile with the world. © 2008 Sheila MReviews
