Chapter 6-Going Boarding...Finally

“I wonder why she would want me,” Charles thought to himself, and mentally berated himself for even thinking of her. She was his best friend’s baby sister. That meant she was completely off limits.

“Besides,” Charles thought to himself as he prepared to go to sleep. “Why would she want someone like me anyway?” And he too fell asleep, and he dreamed of her many times.

The next morning, both Charles and Sasha were in a good mood.

“Are we going to go snowboarding this time?” Sasha asked. “Or are we going to play around the house some more?”

“Oh we’re defiantly going boarding today,” Charles said with a smile on his face.

“What about Lena?” Sasha asked.

“Won’t she be fine here?” Charles asked Sasha.

“Yes I think so,” Sasha answered.

“Then let’s pack up shall we?” Charles said with a new bounce in his step.

“Ok let’s go then,” Sasha replied with a smile on her face.

“Gladly,” Charles said, and they loaded up into his four wheel drive jeep and started up the mountain to the ski slope. The ski resort had been in the same family for generations, and Sasha usually made it up to the mountains every year to go snowboarding so she knew the family.

“Ah Miss Blake. Nice to see you again,” Nick, the son at the register said.

“Nick my name is Sasha,” she said laughing at the young boy who had made it clear  he would always call her Miss Blake. “I brought a guest this year.”

“I see and I take it you’ll be boarding?” Nick asked.

“Yes we will,” Sasha said as she glanced over at Charles, a glow in her eyes.

“Hmm seems as if there could be some romance in the air around here,” Nick thought with a lopsided grin.

“Bye Nick,” Sasha said as they headed out to the ski lift.

“Bye now,” Nick said as he watched them walk off. “About time Sasha found a man worth having,” He thought.
