Chapter 5- A Bit Unexpected

Chapter 5- A Bit Unexpected

A Chapter by Blue Chantilly

“Did he just kiss me?” Sasha thought in a daze.

“Did I just kiss my best friend’s little sister?” Charles thought, clearly shocked at what he had just done. Still reeling from the shock, Charles sat up with Sasha in his arms and gently shook her.

“Sasha? Are you alright?” Charles asked worriedly as Sasha just sat there in a daze. “Baby girl? Baby girl please answer me.”

“You kissed me,” Sasha mumbled before fainting in his arms.

“Uh oh,” Charles thought as he was carrying Sasha to her room. “I’m going to be in big trouble when she wakes up and even bigger trouble when Christian finds out.”

“Well Baby girl,” Charles said to a sleeping Sasha. “Seems you’ve had too much excitement for today.” Charles laid Sasha on her bed and a whining Lena jumped on the bed with her.

“Shhh Lena,” Charles said quietly. “We don’t want to wake her. It seems like she could use the sleep.” And with that, Charles left the room and went downstairs so he himself wouldn’t wake Sasha.

“Mmmmm,” Sasha mumbled as she began to wake up. “Lena get off me girl.” As Lena hopped off the bed, Sasha sat up and she thought “How did I get here? Charles must have put me here after I fainted, but why did I faint again?”  And she covered her face as she blushed remembering the fiery kiss she and Charles had accidentally shared.

“I’ve never felt anything like it when Lucas kissed me,” Sasha thought as she remembered all the unfeeling kisses they had shared and compared those to the one kiss she and Charles had that literally knocked her off her feet.

“I wonder what he’s thinking right now,” Sasha thought as she slid out of the bed and began to walk down the hall into the kitchen where, from the delicious aroma, Charles must be cooking dinner.

Time to face the music,” Sasha thought.

The music blared in the kitchen as Charles fried breakfast for dinner. He loved nirvana and his favorite song, Heart-Shaped Box, was booming throughout the house. People even said he looked just like Kurt Cobain. Sasha walked up behind him and lightly tapped Charles on the shoulder, causing him to jump. He whirled around, ready for anything… except the look he saw on Sasha’s face.

“She looks almost… happy,” Charles decided in his thoughts.

“He’s smiling at me,” Sasha thought. “He has the most amazing smile. How have I never noticed it before?”

“Morning Sleeping Beauty,” Charles teased.

“Ha!” Sasha laughed. “Anything but a beauty here! My hair looks insane and I have no makeup on and----,”

“You look fine,” Charles said, cutting her off mid-rant. “Want some breakfast? I made buttermilk pancakes, your favorite.”

“Yummy! Thanks!” Sasha smiled and jumped to hug Charles, landing them both on the floor again.

“Haven’t we been here before?” Charles teased, enjoying the flush of red that colored her face.

“Yes we have,” Sasha said. “And you kissed me.” Blushing quite a bit himself, Charles tried to deny everything making Sasha laugh.

“It was an accident I swear,” Charles said. “But I wish it wasn’t,”  he thought, remembering how amazing that one simple kiss was.

“I know you silly boy,” Sasha smiled. “I wish it wasn’t just an accident though. I wish you would’ve kissed me longer,”  She thought. Lena barked twice and pulled them both out of their daydreams

“Guess I should get off you huh?” Sasha asked tentatively.

“Yeah,” Charles laughed as he lifted Sasha up. “Dinner will burn if we keep doing that.”

“Uh oh we don’t want that,” Sasha replied. “Your cooking is legendary!” Smiling, Sasha and Charles filled their plates with Charles’ “legendary” cooking and sat down in the TV room to eat dinner. Noticing that she was deep in thought, Charles poked Sasha, making her jump in her seat.

“What are you thinking about little pup?” Charles asked, using the name she adored.

“Just a new book I was thinking about writing,” Sasha replied, and then she shivered from the cold and yawned at the same time.

“Hmm tired and cold huh?” Charles remarked. “Best you be getting to bed.” To which Sasha strongly objected, saying she wasn’t tired and she had taken a long nap that day anyway. Grinning, and ignoring her protests, Charles picked up a struggling Sasha and began to walk up the stairs.

“Jeez girl what do you eat? You weigh nothing.” Charles said, laughing. “How do you do it?”

“It’s called a diet,” Sasha answered after she had finally stopped struggling for she realized she could do next to nothing to escape Charles’ huge arms. Sasha found she actually liked it in his arms anyway.

“Next stop: Sasha’s room,” Charles announced smiling as he lifted Sasha onto her bed and said goodnight, smiled, and left the room, casually flipping the lights off as he left. Sighing, Sasha wished he had stayed with her.

“Oh well,” she thought. “As good as he looks, he could have any girl he wanted so he defiantly wouldn’t want a plain old girl like me.” And with that thought in her mind, Sasha fell into a deep slumber.
