Chapter 11 [Final]

Ken tried to contact Aoi since yesterday but Aoi is not answering his phone calls. It was about 8 AM; Ken was already in the airport waiting for his flight. Miyuki arrived, “So Ken, have you told Aoi already? Is everything okay now?” “No. She is not answering my phone calls,” replied Ken. “You should have told me. Here, use my phone,” said Miyuki. “Thanks Miyuki,” said Ken.

Aoi’s phone rang. She answered it since it is from Miyuki. “Hello Miyuki-chan. What made you call?” asked Aoi. “Aoi-chan, it’s me, Ken. I’m very sorry,” said Ken. Aoi didn’t answer. Miyuki grabbed the phone from Ken. “Aoi-chan, Hurry up! Ken will have to go to America to study there that’s why he has to say goodbye to you that day. Today will be his flight, at 10 AM. So hurry up, will you? This guy still got a lot to tell you,” said Miyuki and then hand the phone to Ken. “I’ll be waiting for you Aoi-chan. I…” even before Ken finished talking, the call got disconnected. Aoi’s phone run out of battery charge. Aoi fixed herself as fast as she can then quickly go to the airport.

At the airport, Ken run towards Aoi, “I’m so happy you’re here Aoi-chan. I’m so sorry about what had happened on your birthday.” “I understand now. But why didn’t you tell me, Ken?” asked Aoi. “I was about to tell you but you started to run, back then,” replied Ken. “Yeah. I remember, I cried and ran already without hearing your words. I’m sorry too, Ken,” said Aoi, who started to cry again. “Yeah. That’s your birthday but I made you cry. I’m so sorry Aoi-chan. I hope this lollipops will made an Aoi-chan to stop crying again just like the way it did 10 years ago,” said Ken.  Aoi stopped crying, not because of the lollipops but because of what Ken had said. “You mean… Ken… you are the little boy who gave me a lollipop 10 years ago?” asked Aoi. “Yes, it was young Ken who gave young Aoi the lollipop,” replied Ken.

Ken and Aoi seemed enjoying again their moment together. But the clock strikes 10 AM already; it was time for Ken to go. “Aoi-chan, Ken will have to go again but promising to return again for Aoi-chan. I have to go now, Aoi-chan,” said Ken, then he hugged Aoi. “See you soon, Ken,” replied Aoi. “Yup, see you again soon Aoi-chan. I love you,” replied Ken.

Ken has gone again already. At least, now, Aoi knew the little boy who gave her the lollipop 10 years ago. And she know that the boy will come back again.
