Have you left your mark in history,

a scar deep cut in the eyes of man kind?

 

With only a speck of time on this planet,

what have you shown the world?

Have you thrown around your thoughts & beliefs?

Have you been a stand out girl?

 

Have you been surviving on this planet,

but living at the same time?

Or have you bowed your unity to the man,

have you given in to the conformity bind?

 

The clock never stops ticking,

so do what you must while you can.

Leave your mark,

be remembered.

Show the world who you are, till the very end.

I enjoyed the sentiments expressed. What may help you when writing poetry is to read it out to yourself to get the flow. If you do this a few days after writing the poem, the whole work will not seem so personal and be a lot easier to work with.
